Now you may be thinking "But wait why not use a string trimmer?". Thats a great question. String trimmers are great at maintaining an edged sidewalk but in my experiences they struggle at cutting the "first" edge. Once you make the first cut with my drill method from then on you should be able to maintain it with just a string trimmer.
