Preparing the lawn for fall in August is a continued process of fertility, fungus and pest control along with any needed weed control applications.
Keep in mind during August Lawn care you may be experienced heavy rains and can’t necessarily attend to the weeds in the appropriate amount of time prior to your fall over-seeding process.
So timing is everything and it all starts with your first frost date if you do plan to over-seed. Either way, August lawn care is what I like to call the Pre-Fall lawn care.
