I will show you how we fixed the low spot in our lawn which causes standing water. We simply installed a catch basin with a pipe that runs to a drainage ditch. The catch basin is a drain box which allow you to attach a pipe to it. You simply install in in the low spot in the yard which holds water and run the pipe to where the water should drain. It is really simply. Bringing in dirt or grading the land is another option to control the water on your property.
