Today we are talking about Bermuda lawn Care in September with an application of herbicide to kill off any weeds that may be lingering before our over-seeding project.
By now if your in the transition zone or up north you more then likely have already applied your pre-emergent but down here in the South, weed control in Bermuda lawns is still completed on a post emergent level.
As we approach October we will finally get an opportunity to apply our pre-emergent weed control if we do not plan to over-seed. For those of us that are over-seeding our Bermuda lawn with rye grass have either already applied pre-emergent months I’m advance or won’t be applying till late November or early December to protect our lawns against most broadleafs weeds.
I’m this video I recommend applying Southern Trimec to specifically target spotted spurge. A late summer broadleaf weed that grows rampant in our area every year. I’d also recommend a Bio-advanced Weed Killer that works great as well for our DIYers.
There is plenty of more applications for September Lawn Care so stay tuned.
