Fall is the best time of the year to do just about everything to a cool season lawn. Even for warm-season lawn-owners there are a lot of things that can get done this time of year if you want to have the best lawn on your block.
In this video I present an overview of the entire season so that you can plan accordingly and get things done the right way.
If you plan on fertilizing later in the Fall when soil temps are lower then use something more on the synthetic side otherwise the organics won't break down and become plant available.
A great late Fall fertilizer would be Soil Fit which combines some Ammonium sulfate and Urea to feed the late-season lawn while also adding soybean meal and feather meal that will be used by the lawn in early Spring the next year.
