Regular lawn fertilization is important to having green, thick, healthy grass. It's one of my beginner lawn care tips in my 4 basic steps to improve your lawn (link below). You can choose from organic or synthetic fertilizers. Here, I'm using ProCare Natural and ProCare 10-10-10. Milorganite has long been my organic fertilizer of choice but has become too hard to find in my area. To save time by not having to hunt it down, I found a Milorganite alternative in the ProCare Natural at Lowe's. It's not identical to Milorganite but does the trick and is convenient.
