Mowing tall grass and brush clearing an abandoned property for the winter. This is an investment property that will be developed in the future. If you are interested in the progress of this property, be sure and let me know in the comments and I will follow along with filming and keep you updated.

Q: What equipment did you use?
A: @ventrac 4520P compact tractor with HQ682 rough cut mower attachment. The HQ682 has three large blades that spin similar to a mower to mulch, pulverize, and otherwise process up to 2" materials. I have cut down much larger than 2" (4" pine saplings are no problem if you nibble a big at a time as the deck bends it over) but the deck can have problems processing material that thick.

Q: What happened to this abandoned trailer?
A: This is a 1980 year trailer that the previous owner moved out YEARS ago and just left everything where it was. My friend purchased it as an investment property last year and will be developing it in the future, but it sat empty for probably 10 years before he bought it.

Q: Why did you mow on this property? It is a wreck!
A: The property needed to be mowed to prevent neighbors/city officials from thinking it was an eyesore. Additionally, here in Florida there are all manner of critters and vermin that move in when lawns start to go wild. You don't want this much overgrown lawn space as snakes, mice, rats, raccoons, and other creatures will bridge it and further deteriorate the property.

Q: Why didn't you string trim?
A: It would have created a lot of extra time/expense for the client without any reward. The place is trashed already and whatever benefit the string trimming would have provided was not worth what it would have cost.

Q: What future projects are on the books for this property?
A: Felling the trees growing too close to the property, chipping them, grinding the stumps, cleaning out the property itself, and either rehabbing or demolishing/replacing the building.
