Behind the scenes at tournament golf. Course preparation for the PGA Europro NI Masters at Clandeboye Golf Club, Northern Ireland. Today we have a look at the preparation needed to set up a golf course for a PGA EuroPro event. Clandeboye Golf club has two courses of international standing. The Dufferin Course is one of the Highest Rated Championship Courses in Ireland. The 'Wee one' Ava Course is shorter but offers a real test of accuracy.
Terry Crawford the course manager talks us through the set-up of the course, we look at how they choose the pin positions, how the bunkers are looked after, some of the cutting that goes on before and during the event. How the golf greens are kept in the best condition and prepared for the tournament.
We caught up with Jonathan Caldwell who is hosting it. Local legend - Jonny's home club is Clandeboye.
