Can Grass Survive 140 Degrees For Months?? Heat Tolerance Vs Drought Tolerance

A grass plant that is drought tolerant must be heat tolerant as well, correct? Well not necessarily.

In part 3 of my "Where Does Grass Seed Come From" series we look at what is considered to be the old standard for tall fescue (kentucky 31) and see just how far things have been improved genetically for not only drought tolerance, but many other factors in tall fescue as well. We also learn that a drought tolerant turf does not necessarily equal one that is heat tolerant and look at the heat stress testing that is being done.
