This lawn is just lagging behind too much for my liking so can I make it green up faster?
With warm season grass a scalp at the beginning of the season is common to remove the brown and dormant grass and to let the sunlight hit the soil and warm things up quicker. With cool season grasses we don't typically do this because the grass starts turning green fairly quickly in the spring and all that brown is gone in a few mows. However, my tall fescue is not cooperating with green up so I decided to try a little experiment.
