The early spring is a key time for lawn care on a newly seeded or sodded lawn from last fall. While an established lawn that has been fertilized in fall will not typically need much of anything to get going in the spring, a lawn that is only a few months old and has just gone through winter could use a dose of fertilizer. I go over that and also what to do if you fertilizer bag doesn't have settings on it for a spreader. Then I move to the shade testing I'm doing with fine fescues and after traffic and winter damage, an overseed of this area is needed to thicken the grass for this season.
