I am lawn mowing my bermuda grass lawn for the final time of the year. I am also in the process mulching leaves in the yard. The weather has been very dry. The grass is not really growing much. I also share my strategy for mowing bermuda lawns. I like to scalp the bermuda grass in the spring. Then, I prefer to cut it at 1.5 inches for as long as possible. After a few months, I begin to raise the deck a quarter inch at a time. Then in the fall, I just take just a little off the top and mow at around 2.75 inches. Then I cut it down lower to around 2.5 inches on the last cut of the year.
