Today I'm levelling my lawn with sand πππ
I'm often asked...
β Why use sports sand and not sharp sand on your lawn?
β Sharp sand is angular in nature and binds together, they use it to make clay bricks
β Sports sand on the other hand is more rounded and single sized and does the opposite, it doesnβt bind together or compact the way builders' sand or sharp sand does and is much better for drainage
β Sports sand is often made from a blend of sand and soil or compost, which means it can contain a variety of nutrients that can help improve the health of the lawn.
β Builders sand or sharp sand doesnβt have any goodness in it for the lawn
β Sharp sand it can be higher in alkaline pH, this can lead to stunted growth, yellowing leaves, and overall poor plant health
