It just may be seed head season that you're experiencing and this year I'm seeing it all over in my turf plots and home lawn as well. This is a normal process that the plant goes through but it can be a difficult stage because the seed heads and talks are hard to mow and can fray when you mow over them. Have no fear! This won't last forever and things will be back to normal but keep on mowing!
