It's too early. Just wait. Hold your horses. It's not time yet to put out your fertilizer, your weed killer, your first mow in some cases. Much of the country is not quite ready for spring time Lawncare. It's easy to get wrapped up in a lot of the early-season advice, but the best thing I can tell you is… Relax. Don't do it. You're gonna be just fine if you wait a little bit longer.
Yes I know, I am in the fertilizer business and the reality is, we have to wait for the grass green up to. It's just the way it is you can't push God's work. Mother nature has her own things in mind this year and we are just here living in her world. Let's not try to push it, let's not try to cheat it, and let's definitely not do the one thing I mentioned in this video because it will cause a lot of problems later.
Do you want deep roots? Don't water. Let mother nature provide that as long as possible. Stress out your turf. That is the best thing that you could possibly do, stressed grass is strong grass in the early season.
