Weed control in the winter is actually the most important lawn application of the year. That's correct. If I could only do one lawn application for the entire year, it would be the pre and post emergent combination I use at the beginning of the year in January or February. That application does wonders for prevents warm season weeds such as crabgrass. Of course, that is not the only treatment I do for the lawn, but I hold to the opinion that it is the most important.
